Summary: 

This circular draws attention to the Building (Electronic Communications) Order 2008, the provisions of which come into force on 1 October 2008. It also explains the amendments made by the Building (Electronic Communications) Order 2008 to the Building Act 1984, the Building Regulations 2000 (as amended) and the Building (Approved Inspectors etc.) Regulations (as amended). These changes enable the electronic communication of specified building control documents.
